Sparks falling out of the dark, and your names poured in molten metal
Embers come down with real weight behind them, forking the way a spark does when its carbon pops and shattering on the floor into a dozen more. The sparks that pass through your names are caught and held there, glowing, until a letter has collected enough of them, and then that letter runs molten from the top of the stroke downward from where the sparks struck it, cooling white to gold over the next few seconds. Because the sky decides which letter fills first, no two guests watch it arrive in the same order, and the date only comes up once every letter is standing.

What to write for The Ember Fall
This one is loud, so the words should not be. Short lines, hard facts, no adjectives: the sky is doing the work and anything flowery underneath it reads as two people shouting. An evening or night start time suits it; a garden brunch does not, and a guest will feel the mismatch before they can name it.
